Sawston Youth Drama 7s was formed in 2008 following a group of SYD leaders visiting local primary schools in the summer term and providing a 6 week course of drama skills. From this we decided to extend the existing SYD group to cater more specifically to the needs of year 7 students, working in partnership with Sawston Village College's Extended Schools programme.

Formed and now run by past members, SYD 7s acts as a feeder group for SYD Juniors and in turn SYD Seniors- after spending a year with us, everyone is invited to move up and join the older cast within the SYD Juniors group. Our last performance was "Annie Jr", and the group will present "Peter Pan" in July this year.
